Automatic weekly meal planning (Premium)

Turn on Premium automatic weekly planning and MyMealVault builds your menu from your saved recipes, then emails you and sends one mobile notification when the week is ready.

With Premium automatic weekly planning, MyMealVault plans your week for you on a schedule. We will automatically pick dinners from recipes you already saved, respect your household preferences, and deliver the menu three days before your week starts. You still review, swap meals, and build your grocery list in the app whenever you are ready.

What you receive

  • Email: A message with your menu for the upcoming week, plus links to open the planner, shop from your list, or adjust settings.
  • Mobile notification (iOS and Android): One push when that same weekly menu is ready. Tap it to open the planner on that week. We do not send marketing or reminder pushes for this feature.

Email and push go out together in the morning on your send day (three days before your chosen week start). Turning automatic planning off stops both email and push.

Before you turn it on

  • Premium subscription on your household account.
  • At least five saved recipes so we can fill your typical week (more is better for variety).
  • Household preferences set: week start day, dinners per week, servings, dietary needs, exclusions, and whether to include side dishes.

Turn on automatic planning

  1. Open Planner or Settings

Tap Planner, or open Settings → Household preferences → Weekly planning.
  2. Enable weekly planning

Tap Enable automatic weekly planning (or Turn on weekly planning) and confirm your settings.
  3. Optional: allow notifications

After you turn planning on, MyMealVault may ask if you want a notification when your menu is ready. Choose Turn on notifications to see the system permission prompt, or Not now to skip. You still get the email either way.
  4. Check your status

When planning is on, Planner shows when your next menu arrives. Open Adjust settings anytime to review preferences or turn planning off.

After your menu is ready

Open Planner to review each day, change or remove meals, and mark nights as no meal planned. When you are happy with the week, build your grocery list from the plan.

Notifications and privacy

  • We only ask for notification permission in the weekly planning flow, and the prompt explains that we send one alert when your menu is ready.
  • There is no separate in-app notification settings screen for this feature. To stop pushes, turn off automatic weekly planning or change notification permission in your phone settings.
  • Push goes to devices where you are signed in and allowed notifications. Sign out on a device to stop sending to that phone or tablet.
